After sat afternoon it is not an official scout event, but a private campout...because Mr. Long can't be here....

The campout is free, just bring a few dollars to cover the cost of the food. It will be between 2-5 dollars, depending on how many attend.

Activities will be: Orienteering, and working on your totin' chip - so bring your knife.

Menu:
Fri night:
Hot dogs, beans, chips, apples.
I''ll make some homemade deer chili for the dogs !!! Yum, Yum !

Sat morning:
Make your own breakfast...Bring your own food, whatever you want. If you want to cook, bring your can and buddy burner.* I have a few extra large cans for cooking on, but call me to reserve
one.**
Sat lunch:
Home-made venison tenderlion stew, Biscuits.

CALL FOR DIRECTIONS OR GET A MAP AT THE NEXT MEETING.

*How to make a buddy burner and stove: You can find it on the internet if you need more info, but, you cut one end off a big (institutional size) can and punch about 4 vent holes (with a juice can opener) around the top (not ON the top). Your cooking surface can is done!
For your burner, Use a clean tuna can. Cut a long strip of corrugated cardboard and roll it up and put it in the can. It should be even with the top of the can. Fill with wax until it just leaves a little of the cardboard exposed. That part is your wick. Let cool. DONE!

The troop did an experiment about how wet clothes sap your body heat.
Trust me they do, so always dress warm and keep dry in cold weather!

We talked about popcorn sales and a possible campout date and place.
That's all!
